Welcome to Sewa Alas – your destination for luxury shoe rentals. By using our website and services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
1. Eligibility, Information & Verification
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding contract to use our services.
Information
You will provide accurate, complete, and current information when using our services.
When you make an account with us, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details. We are not liable for unauthorized use of your account.
You shall not impersonate any person or entity, or falsify or otherwise misrepresent yourself or your affiliation with any person or entity.
Verification
Where permitted, Sewa Alas has the right, but not the obligation, to undertake screenings, checks, and engage in processes designed to help verify the identities or check the backgrounds of users. Based on this information, Sewa Alas may permit or refuse your request to rent shoes in its sole and absolute discretion.
2. Rental Process
You may rent shoes by selecting their desired pair, choosing a rental duration, and completing payment at checkout. Once confirmed, we will arrange for delivery and return based on your selected rental period.
When you place a rental order, you agree to (1) provide accurate personal, delivery, and payment information, (2) accept our pricing and rental duration terms and (3) return the item(s) on the agreed return date.
For same-day order and delivery, payment must be made before 11:00 or items will be delivered the following day.
3. Rental Period
Each rental includes a fixed rental period (e.g., 1 day, 3 days or 7 days), starting from the date of delivery and ending on the agreed return date. Your shoes will be delivered by 14:00 on the delivery date and picked up by 14:00 on the return date. Any delay in returning the items will result in late fees.
If you wish to extend the rental duration, you must contact our customer service to inform the new desired return date. Payment must be made before the extended rental period begins (or before the original rental period ends), otherwise late fees will be charged.
4. Rental Fees & Payment
Prices are clearly listed on each product page. The total price will include rental fees for chosen items and the applicable security deposits. Payment must be made in full at checkout, and delivery will only be made after payment has been received. Security deposits will be refunded within 7 business days after return and inspection of the items.
5. Late Return Fees
Late returns will incur a charge of 1-day rental fee for each day that the shoes are not returned. If not returned after 5 days and no reasonable explanation is given, theft will be suspected and we will make a police report.
6. Damage, Loss, and Theft
Customers are responsible for items while in their possession. Fees may apply for any permanent and significant damages on shoes.
Minor, obscure damage
- Minor dirt that arises from normal wear, such as dirt at bottom soles
- Minor scuffing on shoe’s insole from normal wear
Will not incur any charge.
Minor, irreversible damage
- Visible scuffing or scratch on shoe’s outer leather or fabric surface
- Minor but permanent dirt or stain on shoe’s outer leather or fabric surface
- Minor but permanent dirt or stain on shoe’s insole
Will incur cleaning and/or repair fee up to 50% of security deposit amount.
Major damage
- Major scuffing and/or scratches on shoe’s leather or fabric surface
- A tear on shoe’s leather or fabric surface
- Broken heel
- A torn strap
- Permanent change in colour on shoe’s leather or fabric surface that results from mud, paint or other medium
Will incur repair or replacement cost up to 100% of security deposit amount.
Lost or stolen items will incur a lost fee of 100% of security deposit amount and a police report.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
- Free cancellation 1 day before the delivery date.
- After shipment no refund is available.
- No-shows or refused deliveries are not eligible for a refund.
- If the shoes don’t fit or are not suitable, you can contact our customer service immediately on the delivery date to request for return. The items will be returned the following day and only 1-day rental fee will be charged (if your rental period is longer than 1 day). The remaining rental fees will be refunded within 7 business days after return and inspection of the items.
8. Cleaning & Hygiene
All shoes are professionally cleaned and sanitized before and after each use. Please do not attempt to clean the shoes yourself, as improper handling may cause damage and incur fees.
9. Delivery & Returns
- We provide free delivery and collection within Jakarta area.
- Customers must be available for delivery and pickup within the agreed window.
- Missed pickups may incur additional fees.
- Shoes must be returned in the original condition and packaging.
10. Prohibited Use
- Items are for personal use only. No sub-renting or third-party lending is allowed.
- Shoes must only be worn indoor in a dry and clean setting. They must not be worn in outdoor terrains that may cause excessive damage (e.g., beaches, parks or gardens, muddy soil).
- Users can not dilute, tarnish, or otherwise harm the Sewa Alas brand by posting false, inaccurate, misleading, defamatory, or libelous content.
- Users may not engage in physically or verbally abusive or threatening conduct to Sewa Alas customer service.
- Users may not sue or assert legal claims against Sewa Alas in any manner prohibited or waived by these Terms.
11. Intellectual Property
All images, designs, logos, and content on our website are the property of Sewa Alas. Reproduction, copying, or use without written consent is strictly prohibited.
You will not register and/or use domain names, trade names, trademarks, social media account names, or other means of identification that closely imitate or are confusingly similar to Sewa Alas domain, trademarks, taglines, promotional campaigns and user content.
You can not infringe, reproduce, perform, display, distribute, reverse engineer, or prepare derivative works from content that belongs to or is licensed to Sewa Alas, or that comes from the Services and belongs to another Sewa Alas user or to a third party, including works covered by any copyrights, trademark, patent, or other intellectual property, privacy, publicity, moral, or contractual rights, except with prior express written permission of Sewa Alas.
12. Third-Party Services
Our website may use third-party apps or links (e.g., Shopify apps, delivery partners, payment gateways). We are not responsible for the privacy practices, terms, or content of these third parties.
13. Limitation of Liability
Sewa Alas is not responsible for any injury, accident, or allergic reaction that may occur from the use of our items. We are not liable for inability to use our services, product unavailability, courier delays, acts of God, or other events beyond our control.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with local legal procedures.
